Lexington Avenue Primary Center


Dear Lexington Families,

             I want to extend to you and your family a very warm welcome to Lexington Avenue Primary Center home of the Lions! This is my second year as principal and I am honored and excited to work with you as partners. My passion for education has been shaped over the past 22 years as teacher, assistant principal and principal in LAUSD. I look forward to meeting all of you. My door is always open for all my students, staff and parents.

           Quiero darles a ustedes y a su familia una calida bienvenida al Centro Primario Lexington Avenue el hogar de los Leones! Este es mi segundo año como directora y me siento honrada y emocionada de trabajar con ustedes como equipo. Mi pasion por la educacion ha sido moldeada en los ultimos 22 años  como maestra, subdirectora y directora en el distrito escolar. Estoy deseando reunirme con todos ustedes, la puerta de mi oficina siempre estara abierta para todos mis estudiantes, personal y padres de familia.

Once a student reaches 6 years of age, he/she must be enrolled in school.  Attendance for students is mandatory unless parents can provide a valid excuse such as illness of the student, doctor's appointment for the student, court date involving student, funeral, or religious retreat. Click on the link below to view LAUSD's Attendance Policy for Students. It is the District's goal that students attend school 96% of the time.

Visitor's Policy

To ensure the safety of the students at Lexington Avenue Primary Center, it is essential to follow the district guide lines concerning visitors on campus. If you plan on visiting Lexington, please keep in mind the following:


1) All School Visitors must come through the main office.

2) Permission to visit the school site must be approved by the principal or administrative designee.

3) Visitors must obtain a pass from the main office before entering the school grounds.

4) If visiting for a classroom observation,  keep the length and frequency of visit reasonable.

5) Only authorized individuals as determined by the student's contact information are allowed to pick-up students from the main office. Students will not be released to unauthorized individuals regardless of relationship to the student. Individuals picking up students must show a valid I.D.
