School Profile Description
Lexington Avenue Primary Center is located within the Los Angeles Unified School District and provides service to a total of 110 students. The school services Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, First Grade, and Second Grade students on a traditional calendar. Lexington has one PALS class which is Pre-K servicing special needs students and a PCC-Preschool Collaborative Classroom who service both Special Education and General Education Students. According to the CDE, the school’s ethnic population of Kindergarten to second grade included 75% Latino, 8% Filipino, 2.3% African-American, 2.9% White (Non-Latino), and 2.3% not reported. Of these students, 56.8% were English Learners, .06% were students with disabilities, and 90.69% are socioeconomically disadvantaged. The languages that the students brought with them are: Armenian, Lithuanian , Tagalog, and Spanish. All classrooms with English Learners are provided Language and Literacy in English Acceleration Program (L2EAP). The school is a School Wide Title 1 school. Lexington Avenue Primary Center operates as a School Based Coordinated Program School in order to integrate state services.
